maintenance to bring it to the best condition. Perhaps even a fresh paint job will spruce things up.
From here, you’ll have your list of everything that needs repair. Of course, this list may consist of things you are not qualified to do. Cleaning gutters and painting seem within your wheelhouse, but you may need to hire a professional for any plumbing, structural or electrical work that needs fixing. You may need to make this investment up front, but it will save you from a low appraisal and increase your home’s value substantially in the long run.
Don’t turn these into big remodel projects; just fix what needs fixing. Finally, a good thorough cleaning and making the home clutter-free for your appraisal is essential. You’ll want to make a good impression and show you care about your home. Although cleanliness isn’t on the checklist, it can still make a good impression and show your appraiser you value the house and have taken their time and comfort into
